3x King's Day with kids

On April 27, Eindhoven = King again. For the little ones as well. From bouncy castles to bargain hunting, these are our tips for an unforgettable King's Day with your kids!

Flea markets

Okay, some of the 'vintage' fluffy teddy bears are better left lying around, but you'll find some real gems if you look closely. Or maybe your kids would like to sell the toys they have outgrown? Perfect! Bring your stuff and start selling. Flea markets ('vrijmarkten') are held throughout the city. We recommend the Stadswandelpark, Wilhelminaplein, Edisonstraat, Kruisstraat and Woenselse Markt, and shopping center WoensXL.

Playing games

King's Day is all about playing fun games in the streets! The flea markets are a great starting point to join some traditional Dutch games. The festivities on Edisonstraat are sure to be kidsproof with a bouncy castle and a DJ.

Outdoor areas for drinks

Yes, we'll continue with the outdoor areas for drinks. Because there's nothing better than chilling and enjoying the party atmosphere with a refreshment. Dive into district De Bergen, where they celebrate King's Day to the fullest, and sell the best (vintage) high-end fashion items. Café Mathilde, with its large patio and courtyard garden, is an excellent place to start. Or visit Woensel-West! Around the corner from the flea market on the Edisonstraat, you can refuel at KEVN. Beers and bitterballen, with plenty of room to play for your kids (hello basketball court!).
